Hydronet Limited is no longer offering training or taking on other new work. Over the next few months Marianne will complete projects already committed, then retire, somewhat ungracefully no doubt.

Thank you to all who have supported Hydronet over the almost 24 years since we had this crazy idea “to do something about the lack of national training in our industry”. There are dozens of you who’ve attended, hosted us, sent staff along, answered awkward questions, unlocked gates, fed us, lent us gear, and shared your knowledge.

Special thanks to Kevin at Great River Design way up there in Minnesota for hosting and maintaining this website pro-bono, to Karena and Margaret at Esplanade Motel and Conference Centre for going above and beyond providing us a venue, to Mike Ede for leading the development of the NZ Diploma and inviting us aboard, and to the Environmental Collective (Envco), Essential Electronics and Security, NIWA Whanganui, Hilltop Software, Kisters NZ and Australia, Aquatic Informatics, and client volunteers for assisting us to deliver.

We’re proud to have delivered on our other projects too. Some have been quite the wild ride. Many have involved travel to amazing places, the more remote the better, and work with incredibly inspiring people.

Marianne will still be out in the hills, rivers and beaches but the rod will be for fishing, the boots for hiking, and it’ll be MW in the kayak not an M9.
